Terms of service

Last updated Nov 3, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and resume.art when you use the website and the app. By using resume.art you accept them.

Who we are

resume.art is run by ALIDZM, a registered sole trader in Poland (a business run by one person, not a company): NIP 6793267355, Grzegórzecka 69E/2, 31-559 Kraków, Poland. Where these terms say “we”, that is who they mean, and support@resume.art reaches them. We are the seller of everything bought on resume.art; Stripe processes the payments for us.

The service

resume.art lets you write, edit, tailor and export resumes and cover letters with the help of an AI assistant, check them against applicant tracking systems, and, with Pro, browse job listings from third-party job boards.

Accounts

You can start as a guest, without an account. To keep your work in an account, download a document, share a link to it or pay, you need an account, with an email address you control. An account is for one person. You must be at least 18 years old to use resume.art, with or without an account, and you are responsible for activity on your account.

What is free

Writing is free: creating resumes and cover letters with the assistant, editing them, tailoring them to a job and the ATS check, with no account needed to start and within fair-use limits on AI actions per day. Downloading a document, as PDF or Word, or sharing a link to it takes one document or a Pro subscription, described below. If you joined before 22 October 2026, your first resume and your first cover letter stay free to download, as they were when you joined.

Finishing a document

A free document, and one you bought, stays editable until you download it or share a link to it. Downloading or sharing finishes it: from then on it is read-only, and you can download it again exactly as it is, as PDF or Word and on any paper size, for as long as your account exists. There is no period for corrections after a download, so check a document before you download or share it.

Writing a new document costs nothing: it is paid for, with one document or a Pro subscription, only when you download it or share a link to it. Changing a finished document takes another document or a Pro subscription. A copy of a document (a duplicate, a tailored copy) and a resume started from an upload are new documents. Deleting a document that is not finished frees what it used for another one.

Buying a document

One document costs $4.99, paid once. It pays for one document, a resume or a cover letter, or for changes to a finished one. You edit it as much as you like; downloading it or sharing a link to it finishes it, as above. Nothing renews. A document you bought and have not used yet waits in your account, and we ask you to confirm before it is used.

Pro

Pro costs $16.99 a month or $59.99 a year, paid in advance, and renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. While Pro is active, every resume and cover letter stays editable, nothing needs finishing, the AI limits are higher, and the job tab lists job listings matched to your resume. When Pro ends, every document you wrote stays in your account and downloads in its last state; changing one then takes a bought document or Pro again.

Monthly Pro starts with a paid trial: $1.95 for the first 7 days, once per account, with everything Pro gives. There is no free trial, and someone who has had Pro before pays the regular price from the start. When the trial ends, Pro renews automatically at $16.99 a month until you cancel, on the card you paid the trial with. A yearly Pro has no trial.

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe tries it again for a while. Until it is paid, Pro’s editing pauses (your documents still download), and if it is never paid, the subscription ends. A monthly Pro can be switched to yearly from the Billing page, in Stripe’s billing portal: the year starts at once and is charged less the unused part of the month; done during a trial, it ends the trial and charges the year at once. A yearly Pro stays yearly: to pay by the month instead, cancel it, and subscribe monthly once the year you paid for has ended.

Cancelling Pro

Cancel Pro in Stripe’s billing portal, which “Manage billing” on the Billing page opens (account menu → Billing). Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for: you keep Pro until then, nothing more is charged, and you can renew it there before it ends. Cancelling during a trial ends the trial, and Pro with it, at once: nothing more is charged, and its fee is not refunded. The rest of a period you cancel in is not refunded. Where the law of the country you live in lets you end a renewed subscription sooner (in Germany, with one month’s notice once the first year has passed), you may: write to us, and we refund the part paid for after it ends.

Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars and are shown on the site before you start writing and again at checkout. The amount the checkout shows, including any tax, is the price you pay. Your card issuer or bank may convert it into your currency and charge its own fee for that.

Payments are processed by Stripe, which emails your receipts, invoices, credit notes, reminders of an upcoming renewal and notices of a failed payment; every invoice names the version of these terms it was sold under. We may change prices: a change never affects a period you have already paid for, and we tell subscribers before a renewal at a new price, so they can cancel first.

Refunds and chargebacks

Purchases are final. You can write, tailor and check every document for free before you buy, so you know what you are paying for, and a document or a Pro payment is not refunded. If something went wrong with a payment, for example you were charged twice, write to us at support@resume.art. A refund of a document you have not finished takes back what it paid for, so that document needs paying for again before it is downloaded; one we make after it was finished leaves it finished.

If you dispute a payment with your bank (a chargeback), what that payment paid for is locked until the dispute is resolved: a document it finished can no longer be changed or downloaded, and a disputed Pro payment ends Pro at once. If the dispute is decided in our favour, the documents open again (a subscription stays ended). Writing to us first is quicker for both of us.

Your content

Your documents are yours. You give us the permission we need to store, process and display them to provide the service to you, and nothing more. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit to employers: the assistant is told to use only facts you provide and to mark anything missing, but you must review every document before you send it.

Acceptable use

  • Misrepresenting your identity, qualifications or experience to employers.
  • Uploading or importing content you have no right to use, or anyone else’s personal data without permission.
  • Attempting to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or to access other people’s data.
  • Automated or bulk use beyond what a person would reasonably do.
  • Opening more accounts to get around the daily AI limits.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Third-party services

Job listings come from third-party boards and link to their sites; we do not control them and are not a party to any application you make. Interview preparation links to HackOffer, a separate product with its own terms.

Liability

We work hard to keep resume.art available and correct, but we provide it "as is" and cannot promise any particular job outcome. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Poland, where the seller is resident. If you are a consumer, that does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in your own courts.

Ending and changes

You can stop using resume.art at any time and ask us to delete your account; deleting it ends a Pro subscription at once. We may change these terms; we will give notice of material changes on the site and in the app before they take effect. Questions: support@resume.art.
